Professional Grazing Services

Whether you have an overgrown townhouse yard, or a large property with some weeds, our sheep and shepherd are ready to peacefully solve your lawn care challenges

Two Hour Sheep Visit

After you request service, our licensed and insured business brings a small to medium size flock of sheep to your yard to eat any weeds and imperfectly trim the grass. We set up temporary fencing to contain the sheep who will lightly aerate your yard. Our sheep-assisted weed reduction and fertilization service is typically a supplemental service to your regular mowing. We prefer for our sheep to come at least five days after your last mowing to help with trimming your lawn as well. Our sheep are permitted in any Fairfax County or Arlington yard, mow some types of grass better than others, and like to snack on lots of different weeds, including poison Ivy, bittercress, chickweed, and onion grass.

24 hour Sheep-over

On two acre lots and larger (jurisdictions outside Fairfax County may have different livestock restrictions), we can bring up to 15 lambs and sheep to your property and leave a mobile solar powered shelter on site for our flock to provide natural mowing, weed-eating and fertilization services. This service is ideal for large landowners, ground mount solar fields, mature orchards, and mature vineyards. Our price is $250 for the first day including temporary fence set up on up to one half acre. Pricing after that is negotiable and/or site specific. Please contact us if you’re interested.

Morning Visit

For $195, our pleasant mannered pet sheep arrive ready to eat a lot of weeds for two hours, but may not provide as significant amounts of mostly odorless biodegradable fertilizer pellets. They will however provide some no-smell liquid fertilizer while they eat weeds and imperfectly trim the grass for you.

Afternoon visit

These $195 appointments are only offered in the spring and fall when the sheep will come ready to eat for 1.5 to 2 hours. The sheep and lambs are more likely at this time to deliver lots of biodegradable carbon-rich fertilizer pellets (like deer scat). They may also be interested to visit neighborhood children and snack out of their hands.

Evening or Weekend Visit

Our more desirable weekend time slots cost $295 to bring a flock of three to fifteen heirloom Babydoll Southdown sheep to mow your yard. If you happen to schedule an event while our sheep are servicing your yard, we enjoy introducing our sheep to your guests.
